Worship and Music at TLC

WORSHIP

Trinity's worship services are traditional and follow the liturgical calendar.  In March 2007, Trinity began using the new series of worship books, Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW).  The new red books are a combination of several different sources: LBW (green books), WOV (blue books), and Renewing Worship books.  Trinity currently uses Setting II of the service music written by Minnesota's own Marty Haugen.

MUSIC

Music is a very important part of Trinity Lutheran Church.  Many opportunities are available for special music during worship services and special events.

Organists: Candy Johnson and Jennifer Gottenborg

Choir Director: Tim Domka

ADULT CHOIR

TLC's adult choir is made up of many talented adults and young adult members of Trinity.  The choir is active from September to May, rehearsing every Thursday evening from 7:00-8:30 p.m. and taking part in the worship services most Sundays at both services.  This year we will be performing a Christmas cantata and an Easter cantata.  The choir also provides special music for church events such as dinner shows.

You are invited to join the adult choir at any time throughout the church year.  An informational meeting is held in late August to kick off the choir year, but we welcome your voice at any time.  If you would like any information about the choir, please contact director Tim Domka at 295-2092.

SOLOISTS AND SPECIAL MUSIC

TLC is blessed to have many talented musicians perform special music during worship services and special events.  If you are interested in performing special music at Trinity, please contact Ellen at (763) 295-2092.

YOUTH/CHILDREN'S MUSIC

Music is very important in our youth programs at TLC.  Music is included on a regular basis during Sunday school each week.  Every August during Vacation Bible School, children make music each day and perform a special program at the end of the week.  Each December, children prepare a Christmas program with speaking parts and musical selections.
