Worship and Music at TLC

WORSHIP

Trinity's worship services follow the liturgical calendar and we currently use the Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) book.  These new red books are a combination of several different sources: LBW (green books), WOV (blue books), and Renewing Worship books.  Trinity currently uses Setting II of the service music written by Minnesota's own Marty Haugen for its traditional service and Setting VIII for its alternative worship service.

MUSIC

Music is a very important part of Trinity Lutheran Church.  Many opportunities are available for special music during worship services and special events.

Organists: Candy Johnson and Jennifer Gottenborg

Choir Director: Amy Klatt

TRINITY CHOIR

The Trinity Choir is open to teens and adults and is active from September to May.  The choir rehearses every Thursday evening from 7:00-8:30 p.m. and leads worship at the 8:30 service on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays.  The choir also performs a Christmas cantata and takes part in other events throughout the church year.

You are invited to join the adult choir at any time throughout the church year and you are welcome to join us just for the cantata (Oct-Dec) if you can't committ to the whole year.  For more information about the choir, please contact director Amy Klatt at (763) 295-1810.

WELLSPRING

Last year, Trinity formed Wellspring, a new alternative worship group for teens and adults which leads worship on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at the 11:00 service.  Our group includes piano, keyboards, drums, guitars, vocals, and various percussion instruments.  We would also like to include brass and woodwind instruments.  Alternative Worship Group rehearses Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.  We welcome you to join us any time during the year!

SOLOISTS AND SPECIAL MUSIC

TLC is blessed to have many talented musicians perform special music during worship services and special events.  If you are interested in performing special music at Trinity, please contact Ellen at (763) 295-2092.

CHILDREN'S MUSIC

Music is very important in our youth programs at TLC.  Music is included on a regular basis during Sunday school each week.  Every August during Vacation Bible School, children make music each day and perform a special program at the end of the week.  Each December, children prepare a Christmas program with speaking parts and music.

Trinity Treble Choir - available for children in grades 1-6.  The choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 4-5 p.m. and sings in church one Sunday each month and on other special occasions.  For more information, please contact Amy Klatt (763) 295-1810.
